QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. What is COLORCHROME ?
A. COLORCHROME is brilliant, transparent color on chrome or polished metals.
COLORCHROME is easy to use and PERMANENT.

Q. How do I get started with COLORCHROME ?
A. Our terrific COLORCHROME kits contain all the materials you need to apply
permanent, transparent color. And our optional spraygun is perfect for
COLORCHROME use !

Q. How does COLORCHROME work?
A. COLORCHROME works by changing the color of the light traveling through it
while remaining transparent enough to retain the reflective nature of the
underlying surface (usually a highly polished metal). The result is a brilliant
surface that is transformed into green or red or blue or whatever color you
choose. You need a reflective surface (highly polished, glossy) for COLORCHROME
to achieve maximum beauty, but even a moderately reflective surface will yield
excellent results. Even silver paint will work, but not as well as metallic
surfaces because it is not as even in color, and this is very important; the
finish you begin with must be even or uniform, not necessarily shiny bright.

Q. How do I know I have the correct color I want?
A. There is no "correct color" with COLORCHROME; each coat you apply will darken
the color a little bit. Thinning the COLORCHROME will also affect the resulting
color.

Q. Will different levels of metal brightness give me a different finish?
A. Yes, you will find a little difference between highly polished surfaces and
moderate to medium levels of luster, but there will be a big difference in
results between metals with medium luster and flat metal finishes.

Q. Must the metal surface be perfect in order to get a good result?
A. No, the nature of COLORCHROME is that it hides imperpections such as marks
and scratches and high and low spots because the color is shading them. Darker
colors like blue hide imperfections better than do the lighter colors.

Q. How do I get COLORCHROME to stay on and remain durable?
A. The answer is the use of Glisten PC, used as an invisible undercoat
and clear topcoat. It keeps the color layers sandwiched in between and gives a
greater appearance of color depth. There are many variables which can change the
effect of COLORCHROME: different metals, alloys versus steel, different finishes
and levels of brightness, the number of coats, and finally, the effect of
layering different colors on one another. If you want the same finish uniformly
on different pieces, use the same material polished to the same luster and coat
them with the same number of coats.

Q. How does COLORCHROME compare with powder coating ?
A. COLORCHROME is much easier to use and the colors are much more brilliant and
dramatic because they're transparent, allowing the brilliance of the chrome or
polished metal to shine through! Powder coating is an electroplating process
that involves oven baking and noxious fumes. COLORCHROME's colors are not only
deeper and more vibrant, but cost much less than powder coating as well.

Q. Can I achieve special effects with COLORCHROME?
A. Absolutely! You can mix colors together, or blend one color to another to
create flame, rainbow or ripple effects. You can also lighten or darken
depending on how many coats you apply.

Q. How many colors are there to choose from?
A. 9 fabulous colors are available, plus the colors can be mixed to create an
infinite spectrum. Also, PROTECTIVE CLEARCOAT can be added. In fact, our great
clearcoat, GLISTEN PC comes in both kits!

Q. Is COLORCHROME only for cars?
A. No Way! You'll find hundreds of uses for COLORCHROME in your home, on your
boat, motorcycle or bicycle. You can even spray it on glass to make stained
glass windows!
